Pricing & Billing
What does Herz-Kilometer really cost? +

Monthly subscription (€99–€299). No setup costs, no hidden charges. 100% of donations go directly to the NGO. You can cancel at any time.

How do I choose the NGO? +

You choose from our curated NGO list or any Betterplace.org project. Each challenge can support a different NGO – giving you full flexibility in your CSR strategy.

How does the donation flow work? +

You purchase a kilometer package (e.g. 1,000 km for €1,000). When the goal is reached, the amount is transferred directly to the NGO. We provide the payment proof and full documentation for your ESG reporting. The official donation receipt is issued directly by the NGO.

Is there a free trial? +

We offer a free demo and consultation. Get in touch and we'll set up a test account so you can explore the platform before purchasing.

Features & How It Works
How much effort does the start require? +

Setup in under 10 minutes: create account, choose NGO, configure a kilometer package, send the join code to your team. Everything runs automatically after that.

Why isn't this an app store payment? +

Herz-Kilometer is a B2B SaaS platform. Companies purchase subscriptions through the website – not the app. The mobile app is exclusively for employees to track their activities.

Which sports and activities are supported? +

Running, walking, hiking and Nordic walking – all running and walking activities count. Employees can log activities manually or sync automatically via Strava, Garmin, Polar or Suunto.

How does the Strava, Garmin, and Polar integration work? +

Employees connect their fitness account once via OAuth in the app. Activities are then imported automatically and credited to active challenges. No manual entry required.

Can employees participate without a tracker? +

Yes. Employees can manually log activities at any time – distance, date, and sport type. A wearable or fitness tracker is not required.

Can we run multiple challenges simultaneously? +

Yes. You can run multiple kilometer packages in parallel – for example for different departments, locations, or time periods. Each package has its own goal and its own NGO.

How many employees can participate? +

It depends on your subscription plan: Starter up to 50 employees, Team up to 300, Enterprise unlimited. Employees join via a join code – no individual onboarding required.

How is Herz-Kilometer different from other corporate fitness apps? +

Herz-Kilometer combines three things in one: employee motivation through sport, direct donation flow to NGOs, and seamless ESG reporting. No other tool combines these three aspects in a B2B solution with betterplace.org integration.

Technical & Privacy
Is Herz-Kilometer GDPR compliant? +

Yes. We only track kilometers, not location data or GPS routes. All servers are in Germany (Frankfurt). We are fully GDPR compliant, and a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available upon request.

How does ESG reporting work? +

The dashboard shows 24+ KPIs live: participation rate, kilometers logged, euros donated, CO₂ equivalent and more. From the Team plan, you can export reports as CSV – ready to use for sustainability reports and ESG audits.

What happens if we don't reach the goal? +

No problem. The challenge ends on the agreed date. No donation is triggered, since the donation is tied to reaching the kilometer goal. You can extend the challenge or start a new package.
